Join us for a reading and book chat with Elizabeth Costello and Mary Rechner!

Elizabeth Costello lives in Portland and works remotely as an editor for UC Berkeley. She co-founded the ekphraestival, a generative exchange among visual artists and poets that culminates in readings and exhibitions every April, in celebration of National Poetry Month. Her debut novel, The Good War, will be released on January 28, 2025, by Regal House. Publishers Weekly describes it as “dark and intense… lyrical… Moody and atmospheric, this gritty tale is worth a look.”

Mary Rechner is the author of Marrying Friends and Nine Simple Patterns for Complicated Women, both published by Propeller Books. She teaches media arts to high school students in Portland.
